National Francophone Immigration Week - 2023 Edition
For 11 years, the Fédération des communautés francophones et acadienne du Canada (FCFA) has been coordinating the National Francophone Immigration Week, a major event promoting coexistence. In 2023, the theme was ‘Welcoming Land,’ emphasizing the appreciation of mutual cultures, reflection on a welcoming land, and strengthening understanding of the Indigenous peoples of the Canadian territory.
The mandate was to create a brand image and promotional tools for the Francophone Immigration Week. This included designing a poster, an email signature, a customizable template on Canva, visuals for social media, and two animated gifs, all highlighting the theme of ‘Welcoming Land.’
Result: The creation of a central illustration representing a diversity of people, where the reflection of a First Nations totem in the character’s glasses visually connected with the Indigenous peoples of the Canadian territory. This visual approach aimed to convey the ideas of diversity, inclusion, and respect for Indigenous cultures while emphasizing the central theme of the 2023 National Francophone Immigration Week: ‘Welcoming Land.’
